Living Faith That Receive God’s Best– Lessons From Mary
The Christmas season represents a season of expectations. What are we expecting? We are expecting lots of love through giving and receiving, joy through fellowship with others; hope as we look forward to spending time with loved ones, etc, etc. Friend, are you also aware that the Christmas season represents faith in God? This is because during this season, we, as Christians, share our faith with others, especially about the supernatural conception of the Lord Jesus! As we celebrate Christmas, we, as Christians, tell the World that we believe that the Lord Jesus is the only Person in the history of the World who experienced, and will ever experience the supernatural conception by God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1: 18-25).
The Christmas Story Reveals True Bible Faith In Operation
The entire Christmas Story as recoded in the Bible is a story of True Bible faith in operation. Everyone used by God in the birth of Christ such as Joseph, Mary, The Magi, Sheppard, etc., all obeyed, trusted God, and displayed true Bible faith in operation. For this Christmas 2024, let us focus on – The Faith of Mary –The Human Mother of the Son of God – Christ, Jesus. Mary displayed true attributes of Bible faith such as, but not limited to –believing God’s Word, obeying God, seeking Godly wisdom, praising and worshipping God, etc, etc. The question for all of us is – what Lessons can we learn from Mary’s strong faith in God that can enable us to be well positioned to receive God’s best for us– today, tomorrow, and moving forward in 2025
Since the Bible teaches that we walk by faith and not by what we see (2 Corinthians 5: 7), and without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6), Mary’s strong faith provides timeless examples for us to emulate.
