Matthew 28:1-8, NIV

The Gift Of Hope

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.”

(Proverbs 13:12, NLT)

Friends, The Bible teaches that our Hope in Christ Jesus is the Anchor of our Souls (1 Peter 1:3; Isaiah 40:31; Psalm 33:20, etc.). Conversely, without this hope, fear, depression and anxieties will ultimately ensure. Therefore, as Proverbs 13:12 teaches, let us stay Hopeful in Our Thoughts, Plans and Actions – Always, believing that as we Focus on our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is the Author and Finisher of our Faith (Hebrews 12:2), This Hope in Him will ignite His Joy and Strength in our lives, which will subsequently sustain All of our endeavors today, and always!

Some of you may wonder how you can stay hopeful amidst all of the chaos going on around the world today. Below are a few suggestions that will help you to stay hopeful:

  1.  Remember what the Lord Jesus Himself said in John 16:33:
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

As noted in the above Scripture, clearly, the Lord Jesus warned us that we live in a Fallen World, and as a result, we will encounter various trials and tribulations. Yet, the Lord added that we should be confident because He has overcome the World and Satan. Hence as we depend on God’s Power daily, we can overcome hardships and stay hopeful.

  1. Remember that you have a Helper- The Holy Spirit – Who is readily available to help you at ALL Times! So, STOP depending on your own efforts to deal with daily challenges, and instead, depend on the Holy Spirit, Who will enable you to stay hopeful regardless of your circumstances.
  2. Remember that staying hopeful is a choice that you have to make. So, make a decision today, that regardless of how overwhelmed you feel, you will choose to stay hopeful.

Friends, in conclusion, do not forget the absolute Truth that God is always with You (Hebrews 13:5), and His love for you is infinite!  So, focus on God’s love for you by meditating and declaring the Scripture below over your circumstances as many times as you wish- this will help you to stay hopeful, in Jesus’’ name!

Romans 8:37-40, NIV

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Stay Hopeful,
Sincerely,
Dr. Ruth Tanyi
