Living Daily In The Hope Of The Lord!

Oh, blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them– the Lord, who remains faithful forever [Psalms 146: 5-6, ESV].

For as long as we walk daily in the hope of the Lord, there will never be a period in our lifetime when God’s hope will disappoint us because of His love for us! For in Him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of His glory [Ephesians 1:11-12, ESV].  I tell you, living daily in the hope of the Lord, how wonderful it is!

He Is Our True Hope

If you want it all planned out before you agree to go on the journey, you will be left behind. With God, He gives you the next step, and that’s it. You take that step, and He reveals the next. After a while, you will look back and realize that you have gone farther than you ever did on your own, and it’s finally in the right direction. For He is our True Hope. He is our anchor of security in every storm and our anchor of rest in calm waters — the anchor that is both “sure and steadfast.”  That means we can have confidence in our walk, anchored in Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith [Hebrews 12:2, KJV].

Through Him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God… and hope does not put us to shame, because it is trustworthy. It will not disappoint us, because God does not make empty promises. He pours His love in our hearts through His Spirit to show us this hope” [Romans 5:2-5, NIV].

“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint” [Isaiah 40:31, NIV]. Friend, as the Bible teaches: “Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God” [Psalm 42:11, NKJV].
