Moving Forward ̶ 2022

Friends! It is 2022, let us learn to trust God and move forward in life! -–God has so much for us; hence, we can keep continuously moving forward. Not that we won’t have setbacks and go through different seasons in our walk with the Lord, but as we keep persevering, we will never exhaust the wealth of God’s goodness that is available. Keep moving forward! “Be strong and courageous” because where God commands you to run is where you are invincible. Go in the boldness of the Lord. Nothing can stop you!

Moving Forward Is A Decision

Although on the road to moving forward are many obstacles, it’s not the easy road of the least resistance, but the hard road of great resistance. Why? Because Satan does all he can to prevent our growth and development. He knows how great that path is, so he resists every step forward we take. But there’s no need for retreat, as faith will always carry you through. You have all the weapons of warfare you need to carry on, “…No weapon formed against you shall prosper” [Isaiah 54:17, BSB]. “If God be for you who can be against you?” [Romans 8:31, NIV].
Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 3:12-15, NIV:
“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

All of us who are walking with Christ should embrace this point of view as well explained by the Apostle Paul. Essentially, the above Scripture is teaching us that we should make it our lifelong goal to become whatever God wants us to be, while trusting the Holy Spirit to help us along the way. I really want you to look at the part that says: Forgetting what is behind… This is such an important key to moving forward. When we hold on to something, whether it is a past hurt, or good experiences from our past, we set an anchor that prevents us from moving forward. Put it in gear and go. …

The way to go is forward -–don’t let anything get in the way and have no boundaries. It’s only in moving forward that we can ever accomplish what God has called us to. We can’t stay where we’re at, nor can we go backwards. The only direction we can go is forward. It can be hard—but it’s the only way if we want to move on with God and grow.

What Moving Forward with God Means!

Nothing can stop you! “No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you, says the Lord. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. For this Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess” [Joshua 1:5-12, NKJV]

“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert [Isaiah 43:18-19, NIV].

Remove The Boundaries Today!

So, if you feel like you’re standing at your Red Sea today and depression, fear, and hopelessness is keeping you from moving forward, I tell you that God will part your Red Sea! What you are feeling today is the natural/human part in you, but don’t allow those feeling to overtake you like Pharaoh and his army. Prepare yourself to keep moving forward! God has already promised that you would reach the Promised Land. Don’t let anything get in the way and have no boundaries. The sky is the limit, especially with God who wants to do more than you can ever imagine [Ephesians 3:20]. Follow God as he moves onward and upward.

May this year be a year of new normal, greater territory, higher heights, and deeper depths, I pray in Jesus Name, Amen!
