Believe it or not! The holiday season is here; 2017 is right around the corner. This season often brings mixed emotions for many individuals.  There are those who will embrace the holidays with much anticipation of spending time with family and other loved ones; then, there are those who will experience much sadness and loneliness for various reasons. Regardless of our emotional “states,” we should remember that as Christians, we are not to allow circumstances to dictate our emotions or actions (2 Corinthians 5:7), because our source of joy and peace is in a person: Jesus Christ, rather than on circumstances.   So what is the solution? It is simple: As you keep your mind focused on Christ Jesus, you will definitely experience His peace, strength and joy, whether or not you spend the holidays alone or with loved ones (Isaiah 26:3; Nehemiah 8:10).

Remember, when it is all said and done, you are never alone as a Christian.  Christ Jesus said He will never leave or forsake you!   Which means, whether or not you acknowledge it, He is always with you, even when you believe you are alone during this season (Matthew 28:20). So take heart! You are really not alone. Reach out to Him [Christ Jesus] in faith, and experience His presence and enjoy your day!
